Love Deeply

$720.00

Framed original Acrylic Painting on stretched canvas in American Ash float frame by @houseofprint.

(w) 76 cm x (h) 100 cm x (d) 4 cm (Canvas Size)

(w) 79 cm x (h) 103 cm x (d) 5.5 cm (Framed Size)

This piece features red and purple tulips on a background of soft and salmon pinks, sky blue, Australian gum and light purple.

Red tulips have typically symbolised everlasting love and purple tulips have symbolised royalty and elegance.

Tulips are a beautiful flower which brightens any flower bed. They prefer a sunny position with well drained yet adequate moisture. They are a cool climate bulb and so need a cool winter prior to flowering or the bulb requires time in a refrigerator for warmer climates. Fertilising occasionally when flowering can be beneficial. It is important to allow the folliage the time it requires to die, finish it’s cycle and enable the bulb to store energy for the following season before it is removed. Premature removal of the folliage can affect the following years flowering.

Whilst they can be relatively “easy” to grow, they do benefit from having optimal conditions to thrive and reach their potential.

Tulips like many flowers have distinct times of flowering, displaying to the world their optimal flourishing state for a brief period of time. The flowering only occurs though after a lot of behind the scenes work has taken place. This important yet unseen work underground.

Our life too experiences seasons and change.

We are not always in our peak of being like a flourishing beautiful bloom, but sometimes in the other quieter periods which are also a necessary time spent in our growth.

This piece is named “Love Deeply.” What or who do you love deeply?
