Being Renewed

$300.00
sold out

Framed original Acrylic Painting on stretched canvas in an oak float frame by @houseofprint.

(w) 25.5 cm x (h) 51 cm x (d) 4 cm (Canvas Size)

(w) 28.5 cm x (h) 54 cm x (d) 5.5 cm (Framed Size)

In my latest series of “Australian Botanicals” I explore themes of growth and change. I felt the Australian bush was well placed to encompass themes of adaptation. Australian Flowers and botanicals not only survive in extreme circumstances but also display characteristics of thriving in the midst of hardship. I feel this is true for growth as well. Whilst we all enjoy the benefits of periods when life feels a bit easier, growth usually comes about through periods of difficulty.

This painting is acrylic on canvas featuring orange, blues with a splash of cream and green . Banksias symbolise “rebirth or being made new.” This piece features an orange banksia. Having a mindset for growth and change is an important concept to me in the way I seek to live out my life. Old ways being replaced with new ways. Change is hard, but an all important ongoing process.
