Heart, Soul and Mind

$350.00
sold out

Framed original Acrylic Painting on stretched canvas in an oak float frame by @houseofprint.

(w) 25.5 cm x (h) 63 cm x (d) 4 cm (Canvas Size)

(w) 28.5 cm x (h) 69 cm x (d) 5.5 cm (Framed Size)

I have explored themes of growth and change. I felt the Australian bush was well placed to encompass themes of adaptation. Australian Flowers and botanicals not only survive in extreme circumstances but also display characteristics of thriving in the midst of hardship. I feel this is true for growth as well. Whilst we all enjoy the benefits of periods when life feels a bit easier, growth usually comes about through periods of difficulty.

This piece features the king protea and flannel flowers. The flannel flower was a chosen symbol in Australia to promote mental health awareness. Like other native Australian botanicals it needs to be adaptable in it’s climate in order to survive. The flannel flower is also a symbol of purity.

This piece was named “Heart, Soul and Mind” as I want to be continuing to grow and change in all aspects of life. As a christian, the good news of the Bible is that we don’t have to be perfect but rather can be counted as clean and come before God just as we are, through what Jesus has done for us.
