Be Strong and Courageous

$350.00
sold out

Framed original Acrylic Painting on stretched canvas in an oak float frame by @houseofprint.

(w) 63 cm x (h) 25.5 cm x (d) 4 cm (Canvas Size)

(w) 66 cm x (h) 28.5 cm x (d) 5.5 cm (Framed Size)

Through Australian Botanicals I explore themes of growth and change. I felt the Australian bush was well placed to encompass themes of adaptation. Australian Flowers and botanicals not only survive in extreme circumstances but also display characteristics of thriving in the midst of hardship. I feel this is true for growth as well. Whilst we all enjoy the benefits of periods when life feels a bit easier, growth usually comes about through periods of difficulty.

This acrylic on canvas piece, features a rich blue background with 2 bright red Waratahs . The Waratah is an iconic Australian flower and the bright crimson varieties certainly stand out. They can withstand tough conditions with the extreme Australian climate, sometimes even bushfires. They have dormant buds in their underground stem which can sprout and survive the effects of fire.

Life will have it’s challenging times. I certainly don’t always feel strong but I also know that I don’t have to be. I want God’s unfailing strength being the one to uphold me.

In what ways is your life calling you to be strong and courageous?
